If you drive an AFV, any certified vehicle bearing a valid City of Las Vegas Alternative Fuel Permit may park without paying a fee at any parking facility, that is operated or enforced by the City of Las Vegas, free of charge – including
on-street parking meters.
According to Nevada law, each municipality must establish a program allowing AFV drivers with an AFV decal/parking permit to park for free. It’s up to each municipality to provide application and distribution processes for that decal, and decals cannot exceed $10. If you’re unsure who to contact, try your local DMV office first.
