National Drive Electric Week is held Sept. 9-17 in more than 180 cities internationally. The event provides educational and informational booths about electric cars (EVs) electric car technologies, EV infrastructure in Nevada and sustainable energy. As a participant in the week’s events, Las Vegas will host their event:
Saturday, Sept. 8th in the parking lot at Springs Preserve from 10 am to 2 pm.
The event will be held under a photovoltaic solar canopy that tracks the sun during the day. Energy generated by the solar canopy will provide power to several EV charging stations in the parking lot.
All electric car owners are invited to bring their vehicles for a car show and rally during the event. Plug-in hybrids and battery powered vehicles from worldwide automotive manufacturers will be on display as well as EV conversion cars and other electric vehicles.
