This event will feature an engaging speaking program, celebrities, local music, food trucks, and electric vehicle “Ride & Drives” for everyone to enjoy.
Guest Speakers Include: Michael R. Bloomberg, UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Climate Action; Antonique Smith, actress and Grammy-nominated singer.
The New American Road Trip, will transport the call to action to New York on a cross country electric car road trip across America. It will roll into Las Vegas on September 16 at 3:00PM at the Luxor Hotel and Casino.
Starting off at the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, the tour begins on September 14, where summit co-chairs California Governor Jerry Brown, UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Climate Action Michael R. Bloomberg, Mahindra Group CEO Anand Mahindra, UN Secretary-General’s Youth Special Envoy Jayathma Wickramanayake and UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa will present a call to action signed by city and state officials and business leaders declaring their commitment to climate action and encouraging more ambitious steps from national and international leaders. Visiting San Fransico, Las Vegas, Boulder, St. Louis, and Pittsburgh – the trip will end in New York, handing our pledge to President Emmanuel Macron and other leaders at the One Planet Summit.
